Red Bull Stratos is a mission to the edge of space that will try to surpass human limits that have existed for more than 50 years. Jason is a dog lover, who has made arrangements to his life at large, to accomodate a mongrel within his flat. However, keeping a mongrel in his flat is against housing policy. This video is an amateur documentary expressing the plea of dog lovers.
In tiny Singapore, where 17% of households are millionaires, 84% of the population live in Public Housing, otherwise known as HDB flats. Due to the smaller living spaces & close proximity of housing, mongrels have been banned from public housing, leaving homeowners with an affinity with canines, little choice but to rear them illegally.
With limited options, dogs often spend long times at dog shelters or are put down.
The HDB isn’t exactly standing by & doing nothing about it. A rehoming programme has been in it’s pilot phase, though little has been heard of since. Rehoming of strays has been an endeavour undertaken by dog lovers for many years through the dog lover network, with very subjective success.
If you’re in Singapore & thinking of getting a new pet, do take a look at The Rehomers & understand a little more of the challenges in the little country.

Konami promised “industry-shaking” this weekend and it was industry-shaking they delivered. The unveiling of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes – initially at the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary event on Friday and more thoroughly by Hideo Kojima at PAX on Saturday – has begun a brand new chapter in one of gaming’s most acclaimed series.
In addition to the stunningly gorgeous ten-minute trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes you can find below, here’s the rundown of everything we know about the game:
And while that last point merits interest on its own – Hideo Kojima is returning to the director’s chair for the first time since 2008′s Metal Gear Solid 4 – it raises even deeper questions about the creator’s secret interim undertaking: Project Ogre.
A new report from CVG today cites a “source connected to the matter” claiming that Project Ogre is not, in fact, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. Rather, the report states, it’s the codename for Metal Gear Solid 5. The information has not been confirmed yet, however, and it’s immensely counterintuitive to every goal Kojima has outlined for Project Ogre to date.
In many ways, Project Ogre sounds exactly like Ground Zeroes; it could replace the latter at several junctures in our rundown above. Hideo Kojima confirmed last December that Project Ogre was being developed as an open-world title, following up on a claim months earlier that it would convey a more “subdued” and “different” atmosphere than past projects (well… compare the Ground Zeroes reveal trailer above with the MGS 4 reveal trailer). Moreover, he’s intimated that Project Ogre would directly tap his directorial talents – a far cry from the scaled-back presence he’ll be exerting on Metal Gear Solid 5. To suggest such a drastic ideological shift now seems a little off base.
But there is also the scenario lending partial credence to CVG’s report: It’s even more likely that Project Ogre is neither Ground Zeroes or MGS 5.
The soon-to-be-sixteen-time series director is using Ogre to move away from Metal Gear – he wants the younger scions of the series to take the reigns. And while it’s quite obvious MGS 5 would only draw him in further, so, too, will Ground Zeroes – a current-gen prologue bolstering anticipation for the likely-next-gen feature title. It was just last November when Kojima predicted Ogre would “take a lot of time” and, therefore, he would “produce other projects on the side.” So while Ground Zeroes does indeed share many of Ogre’s aspirations, Naked Snake’s next adventure also feels like a dress rehearsal for a creator dedicated to departure.

Super Angry Birds is a force feedback USB controller for Angry Birds that simulates the feeling of a slingshot. All the controls found in the game are available in this device. You can control the pull, the angle, and of course trigger the special power of the bird.
We hacked a motorized fader found in audio mixing consoles to create the force feedback. If you are interested, you can read the paper. Basically, the way we achieved this is by drawing a force curve and storing the values in a table, then we send the current position of the slider through the table and extract the value to send to the motor that applies an opposing force. You can check this in action in the “How it Works” part of the video.
We programmed in Max/MSP and Arduino. For controlling the hardware, we used an Arduino-based microcontroller called Music & Motors (check the photo below on the right) developed by CIID.
This project was made by Hideaki Matsui and I (Andrew Spitz) in a class on Haptics at CIID run by Bill Verplank and David Gauthier.

Whether one meets it with shock and outrage or unabashed enthusiasm, a charity breast squeeze is bound to get attention. And that might have been part of the idea behind a Japanese porn channel’s recent interactive fundraiser.
Japan’s Paradise TV hosted the breast squeeze benefit as part of “Erotica Will Save The World,” a 24-hour live-streamed event that took place Aug. 25-26 in Tokyo.
All money raised at the charity breast squeeze benefitted STOP!AIDS, an organization aimed at promoting AIDS awareness, treatment and prevention. It is unaffiliated with the Stop AIDS Project that is run by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
After making a donation and sanitizing their hands, participants over the age of 18 were allowed to squeeze the breasts of one of 10 Japanese adult video actresses, according to Rocket News 24. A limit of two squeezes per hand were allowed: If donors felt like copping another feel, they had to give again.
Paradise TV, a Japanese satellite porn channel known for its “wacky, perverted programming,” has a reputation for “stupidity,” sleaze, and directly engaging its subscribers. One of the channel’s most popular shows is called “I Will Lose My Virginity,” which involves a two-hour live broadcast of a woman’s first sexual encounter.
“Weeks in advance, a promo asking subscribers whether they would want to see the first experience of a certain female virgin, who receives a proper introduction during the spot,” The Tokyo Reporter wrote. Demand — tabulated in phone calls and e-mails — dictated whether or not the show would proceed.
